The story revolves around (played brilliantly by Hemant Kher ), a soft-spoken, left-leaning university professor based in Delhi. After years of estrangement, he returns to his ancestral village in Varanasi to fulfill his late mother’s last wish: to bring his estranged, conservative father back into the family fold.
