Previous versions focused on order and routine. v0.18 introduces chaos. The update triggers a mandatory event on Day 30 where the Master suffers a "memory collapse." You wake up in the East Wing—a previously locked area—with your reputation stats reset to zero. The maids no longer trust you.

Version 0.18 introduces a “trust” mechanic that operates orthogonally to “affection.” A maid can adore the protagonist (high affection) while secretly fearing him (low trust). The game tracks subtle cues: body language in character sprites, hesitation in voice-acted lines (where present), and the availability of non-sexual “check-in” dialogues. To succeed—to achieve the game’s true “good” ending—the player must actively deconstruct the master role. This means giving orders as requests, accepting refusal gracefully, and performing the unsexy labor of emotional consistency. The game’s title, Maids Masters , is thus ironic.
