Despite its gentle, almost whimsical name, the "Lovely Craft" trap is anything but friendly to intruders. The term Lovely Craft refers to a specific aesthetic sub-genre of building—think pastel concrete, blooming azalea leaves, and cozy interior design. The trap uses this innocent facade as a camouflage.

The note arrived folded into a paper crane. Inside, in elegant handwriting: “You’ll find the piston trap in the basement. Don’t trigger it. Bring the memory card.”
