Most players today do not own a Wii. Because Melee is out of print and Nintendo does not sell it digitally, the competitive community universally uses downloaded ISOs from the Internet Archive or community vaults. While technically copyright infringement, Nintendo has historically not pursued players for downloading a 20-year-old game for emulation.
