When Capricorn captures Mo to exploit his powers for his own nefarious ends, Meggie discovers she shares her father's gift. She must master her newfound ability to rewrite the story and save her family from the world of fiction.
Years later, Meggie discovers the truth about her father's past and his connection to the book. Along with her father and Dustfinger (Andy Serkis), a fire-juggler who was also brought to life from the book, Meggie embarks on a journey to find a way to bring Resa back to the real world.
