Set against the backdrop of the late 1980s and early 1990s—a period of significant socio-political upheaval in India—the story follows two young boys, Bhola and Shambhu. Their world is small, centered around their village, their school, and their unwavering faith in "Bhagwan" (God). To them, God is a tangible protector who solves all problems.
